Meet the Maker: Sea Bramble Ceramics
-Beautiful ceramics are totally my weakness anyway but when they include scallop edges and pastel stripes then I'm entirely helpless to resist.
Sea Bramble Ceramics is actually the super talented Lesley - an independent artisan based in the UK who makes delightful coastal inspired gifts and homewares in her signature style which is this heavenly coastal pastel palette.
I always love getting to know more about my super clever makers, and I know you do too so here are my 7 quick fire questions to Lesley to find out a bit more about her:
How long have you been a potter?
7 years
Where do you work from?
My studio at home. It is a room attached to the house and a door to the garden which is bliss in the warmer months.
What inspired you to start?
I started as a hobby but quickly grew into a full time job. I think once your children are grown up it is a wonderful luxury to work for yourself doing something you enjoy.
What is most important to you when you’re making?
I like to make things that I like and "need" but most importantly I like the pieces to be affordable.
What is the name of one of your fave insta feeds which inspires you?
I can't name one but I love Scandinavian interiors, British homes and their gardens, all flower content and I love seeing other makers work rooms.
What is the best piece of advice you’d give to any other maker?
Make the things you love and take the weekends off!
What is your favourite cake?
Spiced iced bun from M&S
